Executive Council:
The affairs of the Association are administered by an Executive Council elected annually from amongst the members. The Council is headed by the President and two Vice-Presidents.

Regional Councils:
At the regional level, IPMA operates four Regional Councils for the Western, Southern, Eastern and Northern Regions of India. Chairmen for these Regional Councils are nominated by the Executive Council every year. The Regional Councils are primarily meant to attend to problems and look after the interests of the members of the respective regions and recommend suitable actions to the various Committees and the Executive Council from time to time.

IPMA has the following Committees to pay specialised attention to the various subject matters of concern to the industry:

• Commercial Committee

• Export Committee

• Finance & Administration Committee

• Membership & Publications Committee

• Submersible Pump Committee

• Technical Committee

Representations - Interactions:

IPMA's interactions are highly appreciated by a large number of governmental, semi-governmental and other organisations, amongst them being:

• Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC).

• National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD).

• Bureau of Indian Standards (B15).

• Indian National Committee for Hydraulic Research (INCH) set up by the Ministry of Water Resources.

• Government of India.

• Central Public Health and Environmental Engineering Organisation (CPHEEO) under the Ministry of Urban Development.

• Technical Coordination Committee of the Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS) at Khadakvasla, Pune.

Affiliation:
IPMA is affiliated to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Activities:

IPMA plans and undertakes various activities from time to time, such as:

• Holds Regional, National and International Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Meetings, Trade Fairs and Exhibitions.

• Submits recommendations, representations and memoranda.

• Sponsors delegations.

• Publishes quarterly journal, directory and other literature from time to time.

• Strives to promote exports.

• Maintains liaison with similar Associations within and outside India.

• Spreads awareness and extends participation of the industry on national concerns like energy conservation.
